HOW WE WORK

Sfaira Foundation is a non-profit organization that brings people together to fund projects that provide high impact, sustainable solutions to community development issues in Canada and around the world.

Every year, our team listens and learns from our networks to identify priorities, regions and communities we can support. Once we commit to an area of need, we develop our internal strategic directions.  No one issue can be solved easily, quickly or through individual effort. We strive to work with local organizations in an open, transparent, and collaborative manner to discover our shared purpose, to develop solutions together, to reflect on lessons learned and to explore how local change can influence global systems.

With the guidance of our networks, we have identified ten priority areas to focus on over the next five years and welcome proposals from organizations who are focused on one or more of these areas.

WORKING TOGETHER TO ADVANCE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

We strive to work with local organizations in an open, transparent, and collaborative manner to discover a shared purpose, to develop solutions together, to reflect on lessons learned and to explore how local change can influence global systems. Here are some of the ways that we work with organizations.

We are fortunate that we live, work and play on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.

We recognized and respect the UN Declaration On The Rights Of Indigenous Peoples and are taking steps to learn how to better support indigenous communities across the globe.
